Our Story

We descended on this cozy corner of Warwickshire back in 1973 as a young family recently returned from Zambia.  Having spent almost a decade absorbing the vibrant, mostly serene often contrasting landscapes, while living and working on the African continent is bound to shape and influence a budding artist. Batik art, sculpture, pottery, and intricate carvings were the staples of many a local market place or impromptu roadside retail opportunity

Over the next 35 years, we poured our heart and soul into building our boatyard, marinas, and holiday hire business into the destination experience that Calcutt Boats is today.  With our son taking over the reins in recent years my focus returned to my passion for art. I converted a stable building at home into a studio, joined local art groups and enjoyed the occasional sojourn to a Norfolk art school to broaden my skills. All  culminating in the opening of 'Rosemary's Gallery'
